| This is a new oriental rug hand knotted in Pakistan. It is named Bidjar because that is the name of town in Iran that the design comes from. It has the look and feel of a 19th century Persian Oriental rug. Bidjars are known to have densely packed knots, which give it a heavy feel, and they are known to wear like iron. This rug is a great example of some of the new hand made rugs and carpets made today with an antique look. It is authentic down to every detail and the ends are braided just like an antique Bijar carpet would have. This carpet has a great look and would fit in with anyone decorating with American antiques or even fit in with antique rugs. All the dyes are natural and the wool is of high quality. | |||
